This Thursday, after two intense days at the Smart City Expo World Congress, I attended the 2018 conference of the Data Transparency Lab. This is the annual event of the Data Transparency Lab, launched by Telefónica, to discuss on innovation, research and data ethics. My participation consisted precisley of a panel on data ethics with Juan Pablo Bellido (Grupo Comunica), Elena Poughia (Dataconomy Media), María José Rementería (Barcelona Supercomputing Center) and Gemma Galdón (Éticas Research & Consulting) who served as the moderator. In this panel I had the chance to present the latest work done by the Big Data and Data Science research group at Eurecat with BarcelonaNow, the DECODE pilot to promote data sovereignty with a FLOSS system of urban urban data exploration.
